In a quiet baryo in Cagayan Valley, young Ging-ging lives with her parents under the growing tension in the area. The family decides to flee the province. But with no money for travel, Nestor chooses to stay behind and sell their belongings, as Oreng and Ging-ging head to Rita’s house to wait for him. On their way, they witness a brutal execution in the forest and narrowly escape. At Rita’s, they await Nestor.
After the death of their child, a grieving couple attempts to repair their crumbling home, only to confront the fragile state of their marriage and the painful truth they’ve both been avoiding.
In this episode, we explore the fascinating evolution of Cubao Expo. Once a bustling center for Marikina-made shoes, the area faced a major decline that left many of its stalls abandoned. Now it is a space for painters, musicians, and vintage curators.
